An academic conference was held at the Le Méridien Hotel in Seoul. The event focused on topics related to fillers, Botox, and thread lifting, featuring presentations and discussions. It was particularly impressive that the cadaver dissection session was connected live to the conference hall and conducted simultaneously. I gave a lecture centered on facial anti-aging, analyzing the pros and cons of petit procedures and comparing them with other treatment methods.

It felt quite comforting in many ways to be able to communicate in Korean again after a long time. Since I’m mostly based in Beijing and travel every month to give academic lectures in places like the U.S., Australia, and Southeast Asia, there are times I’m not even sure where I am. No other place can compare to my home country when it comes to delicious food, familiar faces, and emotional connection.

    Dr. Kim, who organized this academic conference, is a close friend and junior colleague with whom I used to work at BK Plastic Surgery Clinic.
